On December 8, 2016, at about 2:30 pm, Burbank Police Officers were dispatched to the US Bank Branch located at 1750 W. Olive Avenue, regarding a bank robbery.
Upon arrival, officers learned the suspect had fled the scene. According to bank employees, the suspect handed a teller a note demanding money and fled the bank with the cash. She was last seen on foot, southbound on Orchard Drive, from Olive Avenue. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a female white, 40-50 years old, standing 5’-6” tall, weighing about 110 pounds, wearing a gray long sleeve sweater, gray pants, aqua blue scarf, black shoes and thick rim glasses.
The Burbank Police Department is aware of a similar bank robbery at a Bank of America Branch in the Hancock Park area of the City of Los Angles that also took place yesterday. They are also working with the FBI and LAPD to determine if the incidents are related.
