The Burbank version of the Woman’s March 2018 took place Saturday on The Chandler Bike Path and brought out hundreds for many reasons.
The beginning of the walk included a couple of speeches from local officials including Burbank City Councilmembers, the Burbank City Attorney and State Senator Anthony Portantino.
Besides the large amount of woman marching, men, kids,and even their pets were involved. Mothers and fathers were pushing strollers.
The march proceeded west from Mariposa Street to Hollywood Way and then turned around and returned. Burbank Police Motor Officers assisted the walkers at the intersections.
This is the second consecutive year that the march has occurred in Burbank
Most of the people walking were caring signs with the reason why they participated.
