On Friday, December 13 at 3:00 p.m., Burbank Police officers served a search warrant at 2507 N. Orchard Dr. and recovered a substantial amount of marijuana, more than four pounds, in the residence. Officers also recovered weighing and packaging items, U.S. currency and a handgun. They also collected evidence such as special lighting and pots that suggested the converted garage was being used as a grow room, according to Lt. Eduardo Ruiz of the Burbank Police Department.
Burbank Police arrested Aleksandr Narodetskiy, 26, and Shelby Kolpfer, 22, both of Burbank, at the residence after they tried to flee, mentioned Lt. Ruiz. They were booked at the Burbank Jail for possession of marijuana for sale and cultivating marijuana and their bail was set at $500,000. They are due in court tomorrow, December 17.
The base bail amount for this type of arrest is usually around $50,000 but Burbank detectives requested the Court enhance the bail amount to $500,000 based on the evidence recovered. The judge agreed.
