On Wednesday, December 11, at 9:47 p.m., Burbank Police responded to a reported armed robbery in the YMCA parking lot at 321 E. Magnolia Blvd. Two men, ages 20 and 21, had just left the gym at the YMCA and were standing next to their vehicle talking when they were approached by a male Black about 20-25 years old. The suspect brandished what looked like a small gun and told the two men to empty their pockets.
The alleged thief took two wallets and two cellphones and ran away, west on Third St. The men were not injured. The suspect was about 5’10″ – 5′ 11″ and wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt. There two victims heard a vehicle leaving from the direction the suspect ran but did not see it, according to Sergeant Darin Ryburn of the Burbank Police Department.
