Burbank Mayor Jess Talamantes spoke and reflected on the loss 15 years ago, while he was a  Burbank Fire Captain, although off duty he felt the pain and knew personally what every responder felt when they got the call. He noted the men and woman of both Burbank Police & Fire Departments are the best of the best and  protect our city and it’s citizens every single day.

During the ceremony  members of The Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums played Amazing Grace. Burbank Police Captain Ron Caruso plays drums in the Society. Members of both departments  stood at attention while the flag was lowered and raised to half staff.
