BUSD Appoints Assistant Superintendent of Facilities and Information Technology

The District has appointed Rick Nolette to be Assistant Superintendent of Facilities and Information Technology. Nolette , a Southern California native, grew up in Orange County and attended the University of Southern California, earning a bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in information systems management, and a Master’s degree in engineering and construction management.

Nolette has spent his entire adult life working in and around the construction and facilities management industries serving in many different capacities. A licensed general contractor, Rick has serviced clients in the commercial, healthcare, and institutional sectors of the construction industry.

Nolette has managed information technology installations of network infrastructures and is looking forward to working with the Director of IT and Educational Support and the IT team.

For the past decade and a half, Nolette has worked for top engineering firms such as Jacobs Engineering and URS, serving as senior program and project management consultant for several large facilities construction programs including the Los Angeles Community College District’s $6 billion bond program and San Bernardino City Unified School District’s $1 billion bond program. For the past six months, Nolette has been serving as the Senior Program Manager for Burbank USD’s own bond program.

Nolette is a LEED Accredited Professional with great interest in creating safe, sustainable, highly functional and efficient facilities for community use. As a long-time Burbank resident, husband, and father of two, he looks forward to bringing his expertise to our school district for the long-term benefit of our students and community.
