A Burbank man was arrested for child endangerment after police were called to his home and found that his 13 year-old son had been locked out of the house in 40 degree weather.
Jon Portilla’s son called for police to help his severely intoxicated father at 1:30 am on Jan 4. A police officer discovered the suspect was in possession of loaded firearms that were found unsecured in the home, where the the Juvenal had access to them.
Portilla (50) was arrested for child endangerment and his son was taken into protective custody by the Department of Child Family Services. The suspect was scheduled to appear in court on 1/5/2015. His bail has been set at $50,000.00.
