A driver and his passenger escaped seriously injury early Friday morning, when their vehicle struck several parked cars before flipping over and landing on its roof.
Burbank Police, Burbank Fire and Paramedics responded to the 500 block of East Magnolia Blvd. around 1:20 am to a reported overturned car with the occupants possibly trapped. Burbank police were only blocks away and arrived within minutes to find an overturned Cadillac SUV sitting on its roof in the middle of the street. Three nearby unoccupied parked cars were damaged. The occupants of the SUV, the 38 year-old driver and his teenaged daughter, were able to get out of the vehicle on there own. Paramedics checked them out and determined that they had only scrapes and bruises.

Burbank police checked the driver and passenger for any signs of intoxication and found none. Their investigation at the scene indicated that it appeared the driver may have fallen asleep before he struck the parked cars and overturned. The Burbank Police Traffic Bureau will follow-up the investigation.
